There are many different ways to get involved with Calling All Crows - whether you have 15 seconds, 15 minutes, or 15 hours/week, we've got something for you to do! We recommend starting at the top of this list to get your feet wet - as you move down the list, you'll find opportunities that engage you more deeply in our work.
- Join our mailing list to stay up to date on our programming and learn about service opportunities we're offering near you! Just enter your name, e-mail address, and mailing address in the box on the left column of this page.
- Experience Calling All Crows' work first-hand through one of our unique service opportunities:
- Pre-Show Service Project: Musicians and fan volunteers serve together with a local organization to create community-level change before heading to a concert.
- Pre-Show Activism Event: Musicians and fan volunteers spend the afternoon together before a concert mobilizing support for one of our five issue areas by attending a rally, gathering petition signatures in the local community, writing letters to their representatives, or raising awareness through forums and discussions.
- Concert Outreach: Music fans volunteer to represent Calling All Crows or one of our campaigns at the concert venue before the headliner takes the stage by interacting with concert-goers and encouraging them to take action on relevant issues.
- Alternative Break Tour (ABT): Music fans get a taste for touring life AND create change through hands-on service and activism by spending a week traveling in tandem with one of our partner bands - volunteers serve with local organizations during the day and catch the concerts at night!
- Annual Events:
- Each year on Halloween Weekend, Calling All Crows hosts a 5K fun run/walk in Northampton, MA to raise money for one of our current campaigns. Read this blog post from Chris Daly, our 2012 NH5K Advisor, to learn more about the race and the whole NH5K Weekend.
- Calling All Crows also hosts an Annual Benefit Weekend in Boston every December that celebrates the year's successes and the incredible Calling All Crows community that makes our work possible (and super fun!), in addition to raising money to support the ongoing work of the organization. Read this blog post from Brian Costa, a long-time supporter of CAC, to learn more about the Annual Benefit Weekend.
